REVIEW: Color Studio Soft Kohl Kajal.

Hey girls! Today I'll be reviewing the Color Studio Soft Kohl Kajal Pencil!

I got mine in the shade Jet Black which is your staple, regular black pencil. For a price tag of PKR 250, which is less than $ 3, this budget friendly pencil comes in 6 more shades.

Here's the pencil swatched over bare skin.

Here's the Color Studio Soft Kohl Kajal in Jet Black compared to the Luscious Cream Liner in Black Onyx.

The Color Studio pencil is true to its name-it really is a SOFT KOHL pencil. Easy to apply, and not gritty, it is soft and creamy. The kohl is pigmented and to me it seems more pigmented than the Luscious Cream Liner especially on the waterline. The Color Studio pencil looks darker and truly jet black on the waterline and lasts longer on mine as well. It hasn't irritated mine or my Mom's, who has more sensitive eyes even after 3-4 months of use. I initially got it for my Mom and because it lasted on her eyes quite long I went out and got myself one as well!

I LOVE how black this looks on the waterline and even better it STAYS PUT! I have used this pencil HERE. The texture of this pencil when swatched, has a lesser creamy sheen than the Luscious one, so if you're looking for a black pencil that looks more matte than shiny, this may the one for you.

All in all, I think this pencil really surprised me. I chose it because swatched next to all the other pencils in store, this one looked like the blackest black. However I was still unsure of how this product would really deliver. The experience was surprisingly pleasant and I'm glad because this pencil doesn't leave a hole in your pocket either and comes in 7 different colors! Overall, I'm loving it and would repurchase unless I find I better cheap priced black eye pencil! Until I do, I'll be using this one for sure!

LOVES:
- Pigmentation.
- Smooth application.
- Longevity.
- Sharpens easily and small wooden bits don't come out.
- Affordable.

DISLIKES:
- None as such, perhaps the fact that it may not be available worldwide.

My Rating:
4/5: LOVE! This one's a keeper!

Thanks for stopping by and let me know what you think in the comments! Have you tried any other shades from the Color Studio Soft Kohl Collection? I'd love to know your recomendations! Take care!

    1. They do look the same except Color Studio is a little bit more cool-toned hence looks blacker on my waterline atleast! :) The Luscious one is bit of a warmer black.

  4. I have one in Jasmine (white), I can honestly say that I never found a softer and easy to apply eye liner before. I love it!

    1. Thanks! I was wondering if the white one was just as nice or not! Glad to know your opinion about it, I'll surely get that one next, I also really love that Color Studio gives their products names and not just numbers! Jasmine is so apt for a white pencil and also not the common "white" label! <3

  11. It does look very dark in your swatches, I hope it was easily removed with soap and water??

    1. Oh yes Saira, removing it wasn't an issue for me at all! Even though it doesn't fade a lot but it comes off easily, I just wash my face and it comes of the waterline and whatever residue is left on the lower lashline, I use a remover to take it off.

  12. Is it smudge proof?
I have tried alot of good brand kohl pencils, everyone smudges on my lash line, i dont know what to do.. Kindly tell me is it smudge resistant or suggest me a brand that offers smudge proof kohl pencils.

    1. Oh me this pencil lasts quite long and doesn't smudge but then I don't have smudging issues with many products! If you want a completely smudge-proof liner, try the Too Faced Perfect Eyes once it sets it's waterproof and smudgeproof or use a gel liner like the Essence Gel Liner it won't smudge even if you want it to!
