So it's been a little "silent" around here...I promise I'm not giving you guys the silent treatment, only a review of this gorgeous trio named after it. Been busy with my final project, for which I need truck loads of luck!!! Things are going to be a bit passive around here until I'm done, so please bear with me and stick around for the storm after this peace :P Hahah! Anyways, onto the review...
Wet n' Wild very generously marked the shadows as the light pale pink for the browbone, the matte black with specks of glitter as the crease color, and the satin finish taupe for the eyelid, incase one doesn't know where to put these along with a mini tutorial at the back for beginners, but there really is no rule as to where the shadows should go. The browbone shade makes a gorgeous all over lid shade and for extremely light/fair skintones the lid color could be a gorgeous crease shade. The possibilities are quite a lot considering the shades are all very close to neutrals but not quite. That is exactly what I love most about this trio. It's natural looking but with an edge.
The pigmentation is pretty good but the pale pink doesn't transfer as the strongest highlight shade. It's much more subtle which isn't a bad thing in my opinion. I prefer building up rather than trying to tone it down. I'm not disappointed at all that the tiny specks of glitter in the matte black don't show up so much on the eyes and it's nice to find out that they don't transfer all over my face either. Don't expect this shade to be a true matte black though, it's more of a brownish, ashy, black. The taupe shade has to be the cherry on the top for me. My absolute favorite, this shade leans more towards grey and has a satin finish and the most subtle sheen but a touch more luminescent than the pale pink.
The shadows transfer nicely and apply smooth. I haven't found them to fade much with a primer underneath either. See me wearing these shadows here!
Packaging gives me no reasons to complain and neither does the price. This drugstore trio varies from $2.99-3.99 but may be available for a higher price outside of the USA.
My only complaint would be to ask Wet n' Wild WHYYYYY do they not retail outside of America! I want to pull my hair out sometimes because I, like so many, want to try so many products from Wet n' Wild but find it impossible to do so since they aren't available everywhere!
If you shop online, you can get this trio and more at Beauty Joint. Folks in Pakistan can order via Lush Grooming Bargains, she has the best prices and I just remembered, it's their birthday!!! So give them a visit HERE to wish them and stay connected. Happy birthday LGB! <3
To conclude, this palette is an absolute gem! I don't see how this compares as any less than high end eyeshadows. You get three ample sized shadows for a fraction of the price of a single high end one. If you haven't given Wet n' Wild eyeshadows a go yet, what are you waiting for?
