REVIEW: Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint!

Anyone who's been a regular follower of my blog can tell you that I went through a whole Sleek MakeUP Pout Paint in Pinkini phase at one point in my life. Needless to say, I was obsessed! Today I have two more shades to share with you along with my thoughts on these little gems.

These liquid lipstick "paints" are a similar concept to the OCC Lip Tars and come in a handy little squeezy tube with a nozzle. I will post a full comparison of these and the Lip Tars, so if you're interested in that, let me know and I will try to post that asap. My first reaction to these was, okay they are TINY! They really are! For the PKR 800 mark that you get these for around Pakistan seemed a bit steep for the size first. That said, the size is deceptive. It's a (trying SO hard not to use the word SLEEK) slender little tube with a good ml and the best part is, like the description suggests, A LITTLE GOES A LONGG WAY! You really don't need much product with these at all. You can work in layers to build up the color to a nice opaque coverage but do not make the mistake of applying too much. I did, and it looked ridiculous the first time because I was expecting a gloss kind of formula which it isn't. These are insanely pigmented liquid lipsticks that seem to have an oily base to them. I recommend shaking them before use to make sure the product is nicely saturated and you don't end up squeezing out oily liquid.

What annoys me though, is that not all colors give you the same effect. Minx, a very pretty pinky nude is a much more glossy, less opaque formula. This color also tends to separate not only in the tube but also on the lips as the pigment seeps into the fine lines of the lips. They might have reformulated though, since they changed the packaging recently but don't quote me on that. Pinkini, a bright blue based pink, offers stunning pigmentation and has a satin matte finish. Port, looks deceptively similar to Pinkini in the tube but is way different. It's a gorgeous wine color that dries to a satin finish. You can apply and blot all of these if you prefer a more matte finish and they won't be drying on the lips at all. There's a slight transferring with all of these but they still manage to last quite a long time for me 6 to 7 hours, sometimes more, and I've noticed they stain the lips as well so you have color that will last quite a while before you need touching up. I haven't noticed any bleeding and there's no lasting fragrance either.

These intense lip pigments are made to be mixed, and come in a wide variety of colors including a white, black and eye popping blue! I was quite safe with my choices but with variation in your picks, the custom colors you will be able to create could be endless!

Just4girls.pk renews their stock for these occasionally but at the moment they have quite a few of these in stock so I totally suggest checking out the deeper shades here! They're good if you are looking for budget friendly options for creating custom lip colors but if you are looking for something to apply on the go, these aren't the best option since they don't come with a proper applicator or a brush so that's a con. If you don't mind the hassle of a lip brush then you will love these! I personally have not had to reapply the darker shades whenever I've worn them out but the lighter shades will need touching up. Another gripe of mine is that these transfer quite a bit! Not a fan of getting lipstick everywhere but I find that if I blot, or apply these in very thin layers it sticks better to the lips. Regardless of the minor issues, it's the pigmentation that won me over! My favorite out of these has to be Pinkini which I  absolutely adore! It is a bright, bordering on neon pink and my lip swatch barely does it justice because on the lips, it POPS!

LOVES:
-Pretty affordable.
-Great pigmentation.
-Satin matte finish.
-Can create custom colors.

DISLIKES:
-Inconsistency of finishes in different shades.
-Application can be messy.
-Not easily available worldwide.

My Rating:
3/5: Great highstreet product!!!

You can find these and 8 other shades on the Sleek MakeUP website and in Pakistan on Just4Girls.pk!
Love you guys!
