Makeup Look: Minimal Glam.

As promised here are the "deets" to the look I posted on my Instagram a couple of days ago when I experimented with glitter for the first time! I call this look Minimal Glam because while the eyes are sparkly glamorous, the rest of the face I kept as simple as possible, even though a blanked out face is not my comfort zone at all. Sigh, things I do for love. What's awesome is that I used mainly drugstore products so I was excited about coming up with a glam look for less. Let me know what you think of these kind of posts so maybe I can do more of these looks on a budget. Without further ado, let's find out what I used!

I started out with priming my lids, with my go to eye primer the $1 Eyelid Primer by e.l.f (not pictured) and dusted all over the lid a matte bright purple (you can use any at hand, I used all shadows from my Luscious Ather Shahzad Palette). For the transition shade I buffed a shimmery light purple to blend out the lid color. Next I smoked out the crease with a matte black from the palette and brightened the inner corner with an iridescent shimmering pinky lilac. Using a tiny pea-sized amount of the e.l.f Glitter Primer (only $2! Works like magic) I covered the lid area by patting the glue on. Over this area I added a no brand purple eye glitter using a flat eyeshadow brush. Winged out my Wet n Wild Megaliner and added the Sweet Touch Lash Boost mascara and the eyes were done!

Smacked on some Bourjois Healthy Mix on my face, this stuff is seriously amazing and covers so much so well and used my Sleek Faceform Palette for contour & highlight. Blush is also by e.l.f-I clearly love the brand, from their Mineral line in Sweet Retreat. It's a stunning nude blush on a budget! Filled in the brows with my e.l.f Studio Eyebrow Kit, and finished off the entire look with the Milani Colorstatement Lipstick in Nude Creme!

I love that the purple brings out the brown in my eyes because nothing else does that! I have super dark brown eyes that look almost black usually!

And that's it! It was super easy and the Glitter Primer made my life so much easier or else I know for sure the application wouldn't have been so fuss free! I will post a full review with swatches very soon InshaAllah! Until then, lots of love, Ayesha!
